Imposter Syndrome

Can you be too inclusive? Yes, if you're Imposter Syndrome. It loves and embraces everybody.

If you think you're challenged by Imposter Syndrome, consider "myside bias." Myside bias is a real thing in neuroscience. It occurs when we evaluate evidence, generate evidence, and test hypotheses biased toward our own perspective...meaning we see only what we want to see.

The next time Imposter Syndrome creates a sense of belonging in your mind, ask, "Do I really have evidence that I'm an imposter? Really, do I?"
